I graduated from Parsons School of Design in NYC with a BFA in Illustration. My illustrations have been featured in various print & online media such as ELLE Online Japan, Vogue Japan, Figaro Japon and Jo Malone London among others. While I love illustrating I also enjoy developing packages, murals, kitchen ware and stationary and love painting live.
In 2011 I edited, illustrated and published a modernised version of a famous Japanese classical essay, The Pillow Book, written by Sei Shounagon about a thousand years ago. I have exhibited work at the Faber-Castell Japan flagship shop in Tokyo. Following this I was featured as an artist representing Japan in the latest global PITT artist pen cataloguel of Faber-Castel.
I have many and varied interests. I love traveling, listening to the radio, learning hip-hop dancing and kickboxing. Recently I started playing the Shamisen (a three-stringed traditional Japanese music instrument). My other interests include learning about traditional Japanese culture, folk art and the historical, cultural & artistic endeavours of other nations.
